 Walking in the Street:

ADPS has begun to take an aggressive stance on individuals walking in the street.  Please be aware that it is a violation of State Law MCL 257.655 for someone to walk in the street where a sidewalk is provided.  Individuals found walking in the street will be ticketed without warning.

Nixle:

ADPS has started using Nixle as a service to it's citizens.  The service allows ADPS to send out Emergence Alerts and Community information quickly by email and text to those citizens who have signed up for the service.  ADPS encourages everyone to take the time to sign up so that we can keep you better informed.  Please click the link below and sign up today.

Home Safety:

Albion Public Safety has recently taken several calls where individuals have let people into their homes to use the phone or provide other assistance.  In several of these cases the homeowners were assaulted and/or robbed.  Please do not allow anyone you do not know into your home.  If someone comes to your door saying they need assistance tell them you will "call ADPS for them and an officer will be on their way." 

Under no circumstances should you let someone you do not know into your home.  If someone comes to your back door that you do not know you should immediately call ADPS and have officers investigate who they are.  ADPS provides assistance for individuals who have run out of gas or are somehow stranded and cannot get to where they are going.  If you are unsure what to do please do not hesitate to call us to investigate the situation.
