The officers of Albion Public Safety are not only police officers, they are also certified firefighters.  Being certified as a police officer and a firefighter is the definition of a Public Safety Officer.  Albion Public Safety officers conduct a minimum of 4 hours of training every two weeks to maintain an effective level of fire suppression ability.

The Albion Department of Public Safety has 4 fire apparatus at their disposal.

Albion Public Safety also maintains a Fire Inspection and Fire Investigation Division.  This division conducts fire inspections to locate and assist in correcting possible fire hazards in the home and work place.  They also investigate all structure fires to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
